We provide expert family law advice and help parents navigate through the difficult process of parenting after separation
Parenting after separation can be full of uncertainty for some. Let us guide you through this difficult time.
We are committed to resolving parenting disputes as quickly and as painlessly as possible, achieving the best outcomes for children and families.
Whilst some parents may not experience difficulties coming to an agreement with their former partner about parenting arrangements after separation, for others it can cause immense grief and conflict. We can assist you with expert advice and representation to ensure the outcome which best suits your family’s needs.
After a relationship breaks down, parents need to determine the following for their children moving forward:
- Who the children will live with, and what time they will spend with the other parent;
- How special occasions will be shared between the parents;
- How significant decisions, related to matters such as education and health, will be made;
- What involvement each parent will have in the children’s health and education;
- What needs to happen for the children to be safe with both parents.
We understand that all families are unique and have different needs. We can help you try to resolve your parenting concerns with your former partner in a way that is best suited to you and your family and most importantly in your children’s best interests.
We will do our very best to ensure your matter is resolved without needing to go to Court, if this is possible. Mediation is often very useful in helping parties to resolve their dispute without the need for Court. It is important to remember however that some matters are not suitable for mediation and will require Court proceedings. We will discuss your circumstances with you prior to taking any action on your behalf, to determine what the best course of action for you, and your children will be.
