About Kath

Kath is a Senior Family and Relationships Lawyer with more than 16 years’ proven success in securing just and equitable family law outcomes for clients and their families. Kath has worked as a private family law practitioner and as a family law solicitor for NSW Legal Aid and Hunter Community Legal Centre. Kath also developed an award-winning early intervention program for the NSW Department of Communities and Justice to strengthen the capacity of at-risk families.

Kath has significant experience advising and representing people in a diverse range of parenting and property matters. Kath also has a strong track record in using mediation to negotiate lasting family law settlements for clients to meet their identified financial and personal goals, avoiding the need for Court proceedings. In 2009 Kath established Fielden and Associates as a boutique family law firm in Newcastle and she was also appointed as an Independent Children’s Lawyer. Kath now joins the team at the Law Office of Conrad Curry as partner.

Kath is a current member of the Practice Research and Management Group of Shine For Kids which is a national advocacy organisation supporting children with incarcerated parents. Kath has previously held volunteer roles on the Board of Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation, the Octapod Youth Arts Association and as a Community Organiser for the 2017 Marriage Equality Yes Campaign. Kath and her family also foster and rehabilitate rescue dogs and help them find their forever homes.
