Lauren Faulkner works alongside senior solicitors at the firm, in the following practice areas:
- Civil litigation
- Medical negligence
- Coronial inquests
- Commercial litigation
- Product and public liability
In particular, Lauren predominantly assists Conrad in bringing wrongful birth claims and other matters relating to reproductive law.
Before commencing as a lawyer, Lauren held the role of litigation paralegal. This position enabled Lauren to enhance her practical skills and exposed her to a range of legal responsibilities.
Lauren moved to Newcastle from Tasmania in 2015, to commence studies at the University of Newcastle. Her qualifications consist of a Bachelor of Business (with distinction) and Bachelor of Laws (Class I Honours). Tort, health, commercial and company law were among Lauren’s favourite University subjects. She looks forward to broadening her knowledge in these areas.
Compensation often falls short in recognising the loss and suffering a person has experienced due to the negligence of a medical professional. While compensation can rarely (if ever) put a person back into the same position they were previously, I feel a sense of justice in advocating for and assisting clients to achieve desirable outcomes.
I pride myself on being both a professional and relatable person. I’m particularly passionate about learning. You can rest assured knowing I will only ever produce work I’m proud of.
