I grew up in Muswellbrook, a small country town 127 km north-west of Newcastle. After completing my HSC in 2015, I had no idea of what profession I wanted to study so I deferred from University for 12 months and following my Mum’s footsteps, entered the beauty industry.
I gained a full-time role at a luxury five star day spa in the Hunter Valley where I started as a receptionist and progressed into the role of assistant manager. I loved all aspects of the industry and helping people look and feel their best. I also enjoyed the calmness of the Hunter Valley being surrounded by beautiful restaurants and wineries.
Still unsure of the profession I wanted to enter, I decided to undertake a business degree through the University of Newcastle. During my second year I decided that I wanted something a little more challenging that held a greater area of interest for me, but I needed the flexibility to be able to work full time. I chose law and was accepted into a Law/Criminology online degree through the University of New England.
After commencing study and loving it, I decided that it was time for me to put my new-found skills to the test in a career in the legal world. I knew this meant I had to start from the bottom and work my way up as I had little experience in a law firm previously, so I was lucky enough to be employed by Conrad and the team as the Receptionist/Conveyancing Assistant at The Law Office of Conrad Curry in October.
Outside of work and study, I enjoy spending time with my partner and two babies (puppies), going to the gym and exploring this beautiful world we live in!
