Staff Stories: Natasha Burt

I have lived in Newcastle my whole life where I attended Mayfield West Demonstration School in primary eventually moving onto Callaghan College Waratah Technology Campus, for years 7-10, where I began my high school years. For years 11 and 12 I attended Callaghan College Jesmond Senior Campus.

I successfully completed my HSC in 2019, having many ups and downs along the way. I finished high school not knowing what to do. Tossing up between teaching, law, and physiotherapy, I decided to take a gap year and work while I explored my options. This led to me applying for and being accepted to the role at The Law Office of Conrad Curry.

Growing up I have always loved being active as it has always been a way for me to meet new people and let off stress. I love trying out many sports and I spend most of my time watching anything relating to sport. My main focus is on netball, touch and Oztag, where I spend most of my afternoons and weekends either training and or playing. Over the years I have played both representative netball and touch and have the intention of playing representative Oztag. You could say I get my competitive nature and love for being active from my mum.

In the future I want to travel overseas and live with my family in Macedonia as I have family over there that I have not met yet. I would also love to travel to Bora Bora, England and America.
