The Law Office of Conrad Curry is delighted to announce that our Associate Solicitor, Tom Hunter‑Leahy, has attained his specialist accreditation in Personal Injury Law with the Law Society of NSW. In recognition of his achievements, and his commitment to the interests of the clients of The Law Office of Conrad Curry, Tom has been promoted to the position of Senior Associate – Practice Lead – Personal Injury.
Specialist Accreditation is a structured peer-to-peer assessment process enabling legal practitioners to be recognised for their expertise. Each year the Law Society runs the accreditation program for a select number of areas of law. The program consists of meticulous assessments on both legal knowledge and its application in practice. For accreditation to be conferred, the candidate must pass all assessments.
To attain their accreditation, specialists must demonstrate their commitment to their accreditation through their work and by undertaking additional professional development in their area of accreditation.
Jacqueline Dawson, Specialist Accreditation Chair, recently said: “Specialist Accreditation is held by less than 5% of the profession here in New South Wales. Specialist Accreditation is a rigorous process and getting accredited is just the start. When a specialist retains their accreditation year on year their clients know the value of the advice they receive.”
Commenting on his achievement, Tom stated: “I am very proud to attain Specialist Accreditation. It is a recognised mark of expertise for the public and the profession. I will continue to draw on my knowledge and experience to achieve the best possible results for our clients.”
