Wills for young families
Jake and Emma
Jake and Emma are both in their early twenties and recently welcomed their first child, Jessica into the world. Neither of them had a Will. Emma’s friend was a client of the Law Office of Conrad Curry and had recently taken advice on her estate planning documents. She suggested that Emma and Jake each needed to make a valid Will to ensure that their wishes were carried out if either or both were to pass away.
The Will
Jake and Emma met with our Senior Estate Planning Solicitor, Conrad Curry who advised them of the need for appropriate binding death nominations for their superannuation benefits and the means by which they could ensure that Jessica would be looked after financially until she was old enough to look after herself. They also ensured that the people they considered the most appropriate to look after Jessica were appointed as guardians.
Jake and Emma made binding Wills and death benefit nominations for their superannuation benefits. Jake and Emma can now enjoy the newborn bubble, knowing their estate planning is in place and Jessica’s interests are protected.
We offer a range of plans to suit Wills for young families and those in other circumstances. You can explore these options here.
